WHO IS SHADY?

Named after Fairuz’s song “Shady” by his father, Shady grew up in a theatrical home where the library was larger than the bedrooms, filled with scripts, scores and stories from the stage. That upbringing left him as comfortable backstage as others are onstage.

Based in Dubai, UAE, he is studying Production Arts at Sharjah Performing Arts Academy with a focus on Stage Management. Before settling into stage and production management, Shady deliberately worked across multiple backstage departments to build a solid, practical foundation. His experience includes working as a lighting designer and operator, sound designer and operator, and assistant director, giving him a clear understanding of how each department functions and how they connect during live productions.

Today, Shady works as a stage and production manager and show caller, known for clear communication, detailed prompt books, and steady control of rehearsals and performances. He focuses on structure, timing and collaboration, ensuring teams are aligned and productions run smoothly without distraction from the creative work.
